About

Trent Watkins is a 25 year old indie Rnb singer originally from San Diego, Ca but currently resides in Hollywood, CA. As a kid, Trent grew up singing some of his favorites around the house. Being a 90s baby, artist such as Usher and R Kelly were two of the major influences to his musical career. As he got older, Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Ne-yo quickly began to find their ways into his playlist. Today, Trent is fusing all of those influences to create his debut album "I" scheduled to release in 2016.

Born March 12th, 1991 Trent was surrounded by music at a very early age. Whether it was the plethora of talented uncles, aunts and cousins or enjoying and participating in the church choir, singing was always one of his first loves. Trent began his performance career in grade school as he played lead characters in multiple musicals. While singing was his love, during his junior high and high school years, singing and performing took a back seat to the plights of the average teenage boy: sports and girls. Who knew that the latter would be the spark that rekindled his love for music.

Following a break up in college, Trent’s music and songwriting really began to flow. He explains, “That break up really taught me a lot. It taught me that our lives are broken into three general categories: Life, Love, and Heartbreak: Life being the fun and everyday individual activities, Love being those instances that you can on share with a special someone, and Heartbreak being the aftermath and the rebuild after that love is gone.” This moment in his life led to the creation of his first two mixtapes: “The Liberation” and “Life, Love, and Heartbreak.”

Now, Trent is currently working on his first studio album entitled “I”. When asked about the title, Trent expressed, “This album is 100% me. Listeners will get the opportunity to see the world as I’ve seen it over the past couple of years.” He continued, “I want this album to be what Passion, Pleasure, Pain or Confessions was for me: relatable songs that can describe your exact situation and help you through it.” The first single “You Should Be Famous” is currently out on ITunes and most other major music websites. While working on the album, Trent is also getting ready for performances all over the Los Angeles area. He is currently living his dream and hopes you’ll come along for the ride.
